Kent firm provides new Sheffield team coach

Kent-based coach operator Bayliss Executive Travel has taken delivery of a new tri-axle Volvo B11R with Sunsundegui SC7 body for Championship football team Sheffield United.

Bayliss is no stranger to providing high specification coaches for professional sports teams, and after successfully transporting the Sheffield United first team to the semi-final of the FA Cup at Wembley in the 2013/14 season, it became the official travel partner to the team.

Alistair Bayliss, managing director of Bayliss Executive Travel, says: “Over the years we have expanded our fleet with a number of Volvo vehicles, which have all been reliable and fuel efficient. We pride ourselves on providing the best passenger comfort and service we possibly can, and I can confidently say that Volvo has allowed us to keep to our word.

“Aftersales and service is also important to us and we have a great working relationship with our local Volvo Truck & Bus dealership, MC Truck and Bus in Hythe. We always receive exceptional service and this was another key reason for our choosing Volvo again this time.”

The interior of the Sunsundegui body has been designed to meet the specific requirements set out by the team and includes such bespoke features as leather seats, a medical table, kitchen, satellite television and enhanced subwoofer audio system.

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder says:  “The new team coach looks absolutely cracking, the attention to detail that Alistair and the team at Volvo have put into this is top class and we’re absolutely delighted with it.”
